Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, Stephen Crim brings together the dichotomy of order and chaos, literally and symbolically, through years of exploring different avenues of art.
Stephen's work is primarily composed of abstract futurism in the form of geometric patterns, both on and off the canvas. He manifested this interest with shapes, ranging anywhere from triangles and squares to parallelograms, while in high school. The straight lines were soothing and satisfying. However, Stephen made the transition from paper and canvas to walls while exploring the realm of graffiti. Here, he was able to incorporate the sharp, hard lines from the geometric shapes with the soft and fluid splashes from spray paint.
Now, taking inspirations from notable muralists like Mikael B, Klaas Lageweg, and Codak Smith, Stephen's work can found all over Fort Worth and beyond. He's had works featured in Fort Work Arts as well as a month-long gallery at GDT Studios last February. Stephen's distinct murals also line the streets, covering walls in Fort Worth and even a feature in San Antonio.
Stephen is constantly pumping out new works- he is a machine!
